I often crush them and mix them with melted butter and a little sugar and then press the mixture into a crust, and there are lots more ways to use them – see above photo! Keep these wafers in your fab frugal pantry to whip up an amazing effortless dessert anytime!
CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT MOUSSE STACKS
8 ounces light cream cheese, softened
12 to 15 round peppermint swirl red and white candies, finely crushed
2 cups whipped cream or non-dairy whipped topping
18 Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers
A little dark chocolate for shaving
Stir together the cream cheese and crushed peppermint candies. Fold in the whipped cream.
Spread 1 heaping tablespoon of peppermint mixture on a chocolate wafer. Repeat two times, forming a stack of three wafers and mousse. Chill for at least 30 minutes, so that the wafers will soften.
Serve with a dollop of mousse on top and chocolate shavings scattered on top as a garnish.
